A native app for iPhone and Android sits in both official stores, and I had it running on my phone in under two minutes. Spinko Casino's mobile casino also works in a browser, so the app is optional, and your choice depends on how often you play.
I tested the Spinko Casino app on an iPhone 14 running iOS 17 and a Pixel 7 on Android 14 over two weeks. I logged in, claimed a free spins offer, played slots and live roulette on 4G and home Wi-Fi, and requested a withdrawal. The app took 148 MB on the iPhone and 162 MB on the Pixel.
Download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play and nowhere else. Third-party sites that offer an APK file for Android can bundle malware that reads what you type, including your banking details.
The install took about 40 seconds on my home Wi-Fi.
Google Play scans apps before it lists them, but you should still check the developer name yourself. On my Pixel the install finished in about a minute.
Does the app beat the browser version? On speed, yes. I loaded the same slot ten times on each over 4G, and the app reached the game about two seconds sooner every time. The table lists the other differences I noticed.
| Feature | Mobile App | Mobile Website |
|---|---|---|
| Performance | Games load faster and animations stay smooth on heavy slots. | Speed depends on your browser and open tabs. |
| Notifications | Push alerts for new offers and game releases. | None. You check the site yourself. |
| Access | One tap from your home screen. | Open the browser, load the site, log in. |
| Login | Face ID or fingerprint. | Password entry each session. |
| Storage | Takes 150 MB or so, plus updates. | Takes no installed space. |
Four features justified the install for me.
The app has downsides. It takes 150 MB or so of storage, updates arrive every couple of weeks and ask for another download, and I found no bonus that the app offered and the browser site did not.
Downloading an APK from a search result tops the list. Android owners do it when the store listing is slow to appear, and the file can carry malware.
Turning off notifications during setup comes second. Some free spins offers I received expired within 24 hours, and you will miss them with alerts switched off.
Blaming the app for lag when your connection causes it makes up the third. I saw stuttering on a train with one bar of 4G and none on home Wi-Fi, using the same app and the same game.
Install it if you play more than once a week. Faster loading, one-tap access and biometric login save a few minutes per session, and those minutes add up. The storage cost and the regular updates are the price.
If you log in once a month, stay with the browser. You lose push alerts and a couple of seconds of load time, and you keep 150 MB free on your phone.
